Church Camping Weekend: Sept. 25-27

We’re going to have a Highland Park Community Church camping weekend at Tinicum Park the last weekend in September (Sept. 25-27). We’ll be camping from Friday night through Sunday afternoon at Group Site #2. Church will not be held in Highland Park on Sunday Sept. 27th. We’ll have an informal “service” at the campground around the campfire. Even if you can’t go camping that weekend stop by the campground on Sun. morning for the service.

The camping weekend will be a time to kick back, have fun, and get to know each other; we’ll organize a couple of fun activities…we’ll eat together and play together! You’ll only have to prepare one meal for the group…the rest of the time you get to relax and other people will prepare your meals.

What’s provided:
Paper plates, napkins, plasticware, cups, coffee, 5 gal water jug, 2-burner propane stove, charcoal, some firewood, canopy, (the park has picnic tables and a charcoal grill).

What to bring:
$2 per person per night camping fee, chair, tent, sleeping bag, ground pad or air mattress, rain gear?, warm clothes, flip flops (for the showers), flashlight, frisbees (there’s a disc golf course), firewood (if you have it) plus everything necessary to prepare, cook, serve, and cleanup for your meal.

Let keith know if you’re coming. Once we know who’s coming we’ll figure out who’s going to handle which meal. There’s no rain date since reservations are made in advance.
