We will gather on Easter Sunday to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, our King and our Salvation.  If God has given you the Grace to know Him in a new way over this year since Easter ReLaunch 2009, then extend that invitation to another person so they too may experience His Grace in the year to come. This is a great way to pause the busy-ness of our lives and take 30 minutes to remember the significance of the Easter Season. Walking the Stations on Good Friday is a spiritual practice that invites us to pray using our whole body, senses, memory, touch, smell, etc. If you have never walked the Stations of the Cross why not stretch yourself this Easter and experience a new way to hear an old, old Story.

Saturday, April 3rd:  Easter Egg Hunt 12-2:30 pm

Our second annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held the Saturday before Easter Sunday! This event is FREE to our community, so gather your egg baskets, grab a kid or two, and come out for a fun afternoon to celebrate the season of New Birth.

The relief kits will be distributed by a reputable relief agency (visit http://mcc.org/kits/relief or www.highlandparkcc.org ). By working alongside our community, we will complete 100 kits that will bring help and hope to families in need.

Items needed (new only please)

  • 4 large bars bath soap (leave in wrapping)
  • 1 plastic bottle shampoo (380-710ml / 13-24oz; place bottle in a re-sealable plastic bag)
  • 4 large bars of laundry soap (some stores carry Fels Naptha, Sunlight or Zote brands)
  • 1 squeeze-tube toothpaste (minimum 130ml / 6oz; leave in box)
  • 4 adult-size toothbrushes (leave in packaging)
  • 4 new bath towels (medium weight, dark or bright colors)
  • 2 wide-tooth combs(6 to 8in / 15 to 20cm)
  • 1 fingernail clipper
  • 1 box adhesive bandages (minimum 40, assorted)
  • 1 package sanitary pads (18-24 thin maxi)

2 dates for Drop off :  Saturday Feb 6 & 13, 9am-noon

On Valentine’s Day, Feb 14th @1 pm we will assemble the kits in our Community Room! Come join us.
